The Thrissur Branch of Southern India Regional Council of ICAI was set up on 10.6.1981 and inaugurated by CA. V. Rajaraman, the then president of ICAI. In 1988, branch was shifted to its own premises and it is commissioned by CA. Das Guptha, the then president of ICAI. It was in 2003, the Branch premises was expanded by constructing second floor and it is inaugurated by CA. N.D. Guptha, the then president of ICAI. CA. Sukumara Menon was the first chairman of the branch and CA. C.K. Vasudevan, the first secretary. The branch premises is approximately 5000 square feet and have all common facilities. It has a well maintained library for use of members and students, an air conditioned conference hall and class rooms. The branch was started with 60 members and at present it has more than 300 members. Branch is managed by a manager and office assistants.
